Synchrotech Carbon Synchros

This is hands down one of our favorite upgrades available for vehicles equipped with the F51 (02'-06') manual transmission. These carbon synchros dramatically improve shifting response and feel. It greatly reduces the amount of effort needed to row the gears while eliminating the dreaded "lock out" issue, and grinding that is present during high rpm shifting.

Features:
Synchrotech Pro Series Carbon Synchros have a full carbon composite lining. The carbon composite material acts as a braking material during gear engagement. This allows for quicker and more precise shifting and prolongs the life of the synchro sleeve and gear engagement teeth.

Note:

• 1st and 2nd gears will utilize either double or triple cone synchros. They are completely interchangeable without issue. If your transmission utilizes double cone synchros, You will have to remove a layer of carbon lining on the inner most part of the synchro. If your transmission utilizes triple cone synchros, no modification is necessary.
• 3rd gear will have either a single or double cone synchro depending on your specific gear ( These are NOT interchange, you must order the correct 3rd gear synchro) (If using a double cone synchro for third gear, be sure to reuse the metal ring off of your old synchro. The new one provided will not work ).
• Triple cone synchros are shipped for 1st and 2nd gear.
